As per recent information shared via our College Newsletter, please note that Thursday June 16 and Friday June 17 are student free days.

The Newcomb Secondary College School Council on May 19th, approved these student free days for all NSC staff to continue their Professional Learning with the Berry St Education Program and we thank parents and carers for their understanding and support.

This opportunity for all staff at Newcomb Secondary College to participate in two days of school-wide Professional Learning, was made possible by our partnership with the Barwon Adolescent Taskforce (BATForce), and continues the highly valuable learning that started with two initial days of training with Berry St in 2021.

We recognise that it is not ideal timing for the two consecutive days of professional learning, given it is in the same week as the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday (Monday, June 13^th). However, this was the only availability for the providers of what will be an immensely valuable Professional Learning experience for all of our staff.

Please note that the use of these two days for staff Professional Learning in Term 2 will also mean that there will be no student free day in Term 3.

The June meeting of the College Council will take place this Thursday evening.
