Respect Cup

Respect Cup
The day was a fun day, the weather was warm, and we had a good day.
The Respect Cup started off with a warmup game of rock, paper, scissors race but then we had a small little talk with all the schools to see what the groups are put into which Newcomb and Belmont worked together all day. Belmont were nice and fun to chat with and it was nice to hear all the ideas on the day for the workshop we did.
Topics in the workshop included:
- Stereotypes of men and woman
- What a respectful relationship is
- Bystander action (the 5 Ds)
- Consent
Throughout the day we being awarded points on how respectful we were and whoever got the most points won the day overall. We were lucky enough to be tied for 3rd place overall. It was really fun to see all the schools play netball all together and it was really nice for Belmont High School to offer us a few of their students so we could join in with the netball round robin at the end of the day.
