Wear it Purple was celebrated on the 25th August (Sunday this year) as an awareness day for the LGBTIQA+ community members, to show them that there is hope that there are people who support and accept them, and that they have a right to be proud of who they are. It is celebrated by others wearing an item that is purple!

Newcomb Secondary College raised awareness by cooking 200+ cupcakes, icing them and selling them in the school yard. It was a successful initiative led by our SLAM team, Art club and LGBTIQA group!
