Recently Year 9 and 10 Textiles have been upcycling square scarves from the op-shop into backpacks. Students chose a scarf from the ones we have been collecting for some years and chose coordinating straps to create their bag. This is a great way of thinking about upcycling items so that we are being sustainable as well as improving basic machine skills. The photos are of some completed ones.
