We have been creating some slab built platters in class and have learnt how to use a hake, a bamboo brush used to apply the coloured slip. We have drawn our inspiration from Japanese artists as well as our teacher Mrs Honeywell.

We really had to loosen up and remember to breathe before making our marks on the clay. It has been great to be learning new techniques and styles too.
