91 VIRTUAL X – Geelong Tech School and ACMI
By Mr George
On the 23rd and 24th of February, Year 91 students undertook a collaborative project between Newcomb Secondary College, the Geelong Tech School and ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image).
The project is design based and draws upon students use of Occular Virtual Reality Goggles and Google's ‘Tilt Brush’ program to create 3D art.
This art piece required students to meet the Design Brief and utilise their digital literacy to produce an immersive experience. The standout piece from the four classes at the end of the Term will be selected for the ACMI virtual museum. A great two days of learning the technology of the future through our GROW program.
