Geelong and Melbourne Street Art
By Mr. Dan Colbert
Over the past month, Year 12 VM/VPC students have been studying Street Art.
This Unit has included a Scavenger Hunt in search of Geelong’s best Street Art, and a guided tour around Melbourne’s Street Art scene.
Students were responsible for the planning of both excursions, including transport, budget, and even the itinerary of our trip.
With the guided tour taking place in the morning, students opted to enjoy lunch in the CBD and then play Holey Moley golf prior to boarding the train home.
A highlight of the tour was getting to see a Street Art piece from Banksy. After studying Banksy and his impact on the Street Art movement, it was surreal to come face to face with his work.
