Music Students Visit to Feeder Primary Schools

Seven of our Year 8 instrumental music students, along with the music staff, visited Leopold, Moolap, Newcomb, Whittington, and Tate Street Primary Schools. They delivered an excellent presentation about our music program and information about our College. Congratulations to Lillie Della Monica, Jack Belleville, Mitchell Dunstan, Ella Nikkelson, Ruby Morrissy, Ethian Hale, and Aidan Osborne.

Senior Concert Band Tour

The Senior Concert Band tour to Bendigo and surrounding areas has been finalised for Term 3 from Monday August 21st to Friday 25th. We will be staying at Camp Getaway in Axedale. The cost is $340.00 each, inclusive apart from personal spending money. All information is on Compass, and we will require all Senior Concert Band members to please accept or decline their invitation to participate in this event.

Junior Music Camp

The Year 7 and 8 instrumental music students will be given the opportunity to participate in our Junior Music Camp that will be held at Airey’s Inlet for three days from Monday August 7th to Wednesday August 9th. Expressions of interest from students who wish to attend will be taken early Term 2. The cost is $200.00.

Year 7 Bands

Due to the number of Year 7 students participating in the instrumental music program, we have commenced with two bands.  Students in 74 will rehearse as one band and students in 71, 72 and 73 will rehearse as another band.

74 Band – All students in 74 commenced rehearsing as a band last week on Friday afternoon. This week, they will have another rehearsal and all students in 71, 72 & 73 will commence rehearsing together on Thursday morning (last day of school) during Period 1.
