Nobody's Fool Theatre production
Hi Everyone
Nobody’s Fool Theatre is a collaboration between Newcomb Secondary College and Somebody’s Daughter Theatre Company. Based in Newtown, our flexible learning space is arts led where drama and art workshops provide the lens for students to engage in their education.
We would like to warmly invite you all to the 2021 end of year production, ‘When the light went walking.’
Please see flyer attached for details. Tickets are free but limited so RSVP essential; laura.sdtc@gmail.com
Thursday December 9 @7pm
Friday December 10 @1pm
Friday December 10 @7pm
‘When the light went walking’ mirrors our world’s time of change and the political landscape surrounding the theme of ‘consent.’ Voices and experiences of young people are brought to the stage and provide a window of connection for others whilst highlighting the importance of finding ways to be strong, to grow and to move forward. It touches upon truth telling and the importance of connection to land, culture and elders.
‘When the light went walking’ is funny, sad, confronting, and empowering, but ultimately shows how everyone can find their own light, even when the world feels dark.
I am really proud of our Newcomb Secondary students who have worked so bravely on this production. I know it is late notice but it would be wonderful to see some of you there!
With thanks,
Emma Boschetti
