End of Term Progress Report
Newcomb Secondary College values feedback on learning and outcomes, and endeavours to ensure that the quality of feedback is at the upmost standard. With that in mind, staff have been reviewing our Student Report product as next week we share our end of Term reports, you will notice a difference. The Reports that will be shared will have been developed to align a number of Newcomb Secondary College teaching and learning models deemed important to future student success, including the Positive Futures Framework, School Wide Positive Behaviour and our Berry St Training. The report presentation will feature a graphical continuum, allowing the viewer to easily take in the information and identify patterns in growth and outcomes.
The areas of focus on the reports will be:

PST Interviews- Thursday April 28 (4-7pm) & Friday April 29 (9-12pm)
As Term 1 winds down, we start to shift our focus to Term 2. In the first week of Term 2, we will be conducting our Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences. The PST conferences are an important part of supporting student learning outcomes as it is well understood that a student will achieve most, and maximise their potential when supported by a team. As such, it is important that all members of a student team have a shared understanding of where their learning is at and what can be actioned to make further improvements/further growth. Parents and Guardians will have an opportunity to book a suitable time to attend the PTS Conferences. Next week a Compass message and instruction guide will be circulated to you all. The sessions available for the conferences are Thursday April 28 (4-7pm) and Friday April 29 (9-12pm). Conferences will take place at Newcomb Secondary College and we encourage you all to take part in the conversations.
Information Evening 2022
On Monday April 4, we will be holding our annual Information Evening for prospective 2023 students. It is an evening that we thoroughly enjoy as a college as it offers an opportunity for Newcomb Secondary College to showcase all that is great about the college to future students and their families.
Transition Program 2022
Over the course of Term 1, we have been fortunate enough to once again have an opportunity to welcome our feeder school students back into Newcomb Secondary College. This is a fantastic opportunity for those primary school students in grades 3-6 to share in our facilities, take part in our learning programs and experience life at a secondary school. It is priceless to see the rich learning in action and the wonderful smiles on the faces of the primary school students participating in the program. Thus far we have, or will have welcomed students from Newcomb Park, Leopold, Tate Street, and Whittington Primary Schools.
