P-TECH Bulletin
By Ms Kris Hunter
Having supportive P-TECH industry partners such as Blood Toyota enables amazing opportunities to materialise for our students.
In 2020 Tyron completed his Certificate II in Automotive with a regular work placement at Blood Toyota. This year Tyron has been offered the opportunity to continue his work experience at Blood Toyota one day per week while he completes his Year 12 studies and works towards a career in Motor Mechanics.
Last week Year 11 student Ashlun, who is also interested in a motor mechanics career, has been offered a similar opportunity to learn and experience the work carried out by the Blood Toyota service division.
Recently Tyron and Ashlun assisted in a general service, learning the standard procedures and steps taken. They also received a detailed lesson from the Senior Technicians on the workings of a motor from inside the engine block.
You can’t beat “on the ground hands-on training” and we thank Blood Toyota for their continued support.
Call in and have a chat with Mrs Boyanton or Mr Horsted if you are a Year 10-12 student who has a genuine interest in a career in automotive - you never know where this conversation may lead...
