Newcomb Secondary College has appointed Mrs Amy Boland (pictured right in the photo) as its next Alumni Program Manager, as it takes the next step in the development of the alumni program.

As you might know, Newcomb partnered with not-for-profit organisation Ourschool to establish the alumni program last year. Ourschool was started by Newcomb alum Caroline Milburn (pictured centre) in 2017. It's currently working with 24 Victorian public high schools to build supportive alumni (past student) communities for the benefit of current students.

Over the past year, the Ourschool Foundation service has embedded Jennifer Chiu (pictured left) at Newcomb to get the ball rolling - setting up a database and other systems needed for a sustainable and successful program.

From Term 2, Newcomb will graduate to the Ourschool Coach service, with staff member Amy Boland taking the reins of the alumni program. Amy is a learning mentor who supports student learning, as well as managing the school's social media pages.
