From the Principal Team
Welcome Back
We hope that everyone had an enjoyable two week break. Today we had a short assembly to welcome back everyone and to reset ourselves before getting straight back into our learning programs.
Interim Reports
Student interim reports have been posted onto Compass. These will share with parents and guardians the progress made by your children throughout Term 1 and are an accurate reflection of student learning. They may also be of assistance when planning your upcoming Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences. Please take the time to read over them and discuss them with your child. If you have difficulty logging into Compass or with access to the internet please contact the College.
Parent Student Teacher Interviews
As a follow up from Interim Reports, Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences for students from all year levels will be conducted this week in the Language Centre:
Thursday 22nd April from 4.00pm - 7.00pm
Friday 23rd April from 9.00am -12.00pm
Bookings can be made by parents online through Compass, or by writing a note in your child’s student diary. It is expected each conference will be of a 5 minute duration. However, if longer is needed please make an arrangement with the teacher for an appointment on another day. Students are required to attend conferences with their parents. Parents who do not have an arranged booking are still welcome and encouraged to attend with their child. If you do not have access to Compass please contact the school on 5248 1400 and provide us with a current email address so that we can forward necessary Compass information.
ANZAC Commemorations
We will hold our school based ANZAC Service on Monday 26 April.

P-TECH Bulletin
Our brand new partner IXL Metal Castings is offering interested students and staff an opportunity to tour the IXL plant.
Recently Lachie who has shown an interest in Engineering (Fabrication) accepted the invitation to visit. Together with Mrs Boyanton and Mrs Hunter (appropriately dressed in boots, coats, safety glasses and ear plugs) set off to hear all about the amazing products being made and shipped worldwide by IXL.
Following this visit Lachie has been offered a regular work placement where he will gain valuable skills and experiences through “on the ground” training with an industry mentor.
Year 10-12 students with a genuine interest in the field of metal fabrication who might like a similar opportunity should have a chat with Mrs Boyanton or Mr Horsted.
Thanks IXL Metal Castings for this amazing opportunity!

GEELONG YOUTH CHOIR
Studentss may be interested to know that our Geelong Youch Choir (GYC) music education programs recommence this week.
We have opportunities for young singers to perform in a youth chorus in a professional Opera Australia production of Carmen and to sing on the Costa Hall Stage in the Lyric Theatre Society's Disney Extravaganza, Wish Upon a Song.
As a non-profit community-run music education organisation, your support is deeply appreciated.
