From the Principal Team
Dear Parent/Carer,
We hope this finds you and your family safe and well, and perhaps even buoyed by a growing sense of optimism over this past week or so. Hopefully you will have noticed that our days are getting lighter, longer and warmer. So too, as an increasing number of people across the state of Victoria are able to access their vaccinations, hopefully we are also nearing a reduction in stringent lockdown measures. On this topic, it is worth celebrating the exceptional rate of vaccination uptake across the Geelong region in particular, with nation-leading rates of efficiency and coverage.
Nonetheless, until we are able to officially resume full onsite operations, we will need to continue moving forward with a level of resilience and care, and we are incredibly grateful for the patience and perseverance which continues to be shown by so many members of our school community.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences
Parent Teacher Student (PTS) Conferences are an opportunity for parents and teachers to build trust and a shared understanding of a student’s wellbeing and academic progress.
Reporting on academic progress may be taking a back seat in our current context, but the building of trust and relationships between students’ homes and school has never been more important.
To make our Semester 2 PTS conferences have the greatest value possible there are a few changes we are making.
- Thursday 16th of September from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.
- They will be run remotely using Google Meets and links to teachers’ meets will be shared in the lead up to the event.
- Please book meets on Compass. It isn’t possible to run unscheduled meetings in a remote setting.
- The focus of these PTS conferences will be wellbeing, working from home practises, and planning for how to re-engage positively when we return to onsite.
- For this reason, we’d like to encourage you to book an interview with just 1 teacher. Whilst you may choose to book more, we would be happy with 1 meet per student.
- Enjoy it. Teachers are in remote learning and lockdown too, and are looking forward to chatting with you!
