School Leaders
Each year a Student Leadership Team is selected to represent our students.
The school leaders are chosen from our Year 12 students, with House Leaders chosen from the Year 11 level.
A student from any year level can nominate to represent the students of Newcomb Secondary College by becoming a member of the School Council. They attend monthly meetings and participate in important decision making within the school.
We also have the SLAM team. They are a group of Year 7 to 12 student representatives that have been selected as Year Level Leaders. They work democratically to represent the student body in school wide initiatives, decision-making and leadership opportunities. SLAM gives student voice and agency to the Newcomb Secondary College student population. They work together to develop ideas and organise ways for students have a voice and contribute to the workings of the College. Year level leaders meet three times per term to discuss student directed initiative and action at Newcomb Secondary College.
